The Experience
From the moment you walk into my space, everything will be prepared for you. My trusted make-up artist and myself will be waiting for you. I'll take over with the kids and get them started with their portraits while my make-up artist enhances your natural beauty. Her make-up services are included with your session fee, as well as my client closet & wardrobe styling. Professional hair styling is available with my la carte session options.
When your make-up is completed, you'll step into the bathroom and changing area, and get into your gown or set. All of my wardrobe pieces have been carefully curated from multiple designers and high end boutiques. Many of them are hand dyed and hand crafted. Some are one of a kind. You deserve to be dressed in clothing that reflects your unique, and beautiful self.
There's no need to worry about if you know how to pose. I'll guide you through poses and natural prompts that will produce flattering, high end portraits. I never book clients back to back. This ensure that I have plenty of time to focus on you, and your family.
While in the studio, you'll be able to browse my fine art available for purchase. Many clients choose to add on framed fine art prints or an item from my heirloom wood collection. In a world that's full of digital items and poor craftsmanship it's nice to be able to actually touch the items you're interested in. All my fine artwork is produced by high quality, professional labs. They ensure each piece has crisp, color correct images. Unlike items from online vendors that fall apart after a few years my fine artwork will be around to pass onto the next generation.
After leaving the studio, you'll receive a proof gallery within 7 days. You'll be able to choose your favorite images for full polishing and editing. You can opt for one of my digital collections, or to buy the entire gallery. If you are purchasing artwork, you will finalize your artwork order at this time. Your final gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks of choosing your final images.
The Studio
I offer a boutique studio experience located in Flagler Estates in Hastings, FL. The only thing I need you to do is show up. I'll create a beautiful set for your family and I offer a specially curated selection of client dresses and wardrobe items. I'll style you completely. I even have a professional make-up artist on site. I'm able to accommodate women sizes XS-3XL, children sizes newborn to teen, and men sizes XS-3XL. All of my pieces are selected with care. As you step out of the heat into my cool, air-conditioned studio you'll see your styled set and curated wardrobe waiting.
My space offers seating for family members, as well as a selection of drinks & snacks. You'll have a front row view of your loved one's session.
A cozy client bathroom means no worries about coordinating bathroom trips before your session. It also serves as a private changing area. I keep the bathroom stocked with menstrual and post-partum items, as well as items for baby (diapers, wipes, lotion).
You'll be able to browse my art work available for purchase while you're here. In a world that's full on online sales and guesswork, it's a relief to sit down and actually touch the product you want. If you provide a photo of your wall at home, I'm able to send you a mock up of your favorite pieces hanging on your own wall.
On-Location Portraits
Alongside studio portraits, I also offer on location portraits. You are able to select your own location, or have me choose a spot that I believe will create the most beautiful session. My client wardrobe, as well as professional make-up is available for on location portraits. On location sessions tend to be more natural than posed. I still provide plenty of guidance so the session doesn't feel awkward. All of my outdoors sessions are done during golden hour. The hour before sunset offers us the best light, as well as a reprieve from the relentless Florida sun. Plus, sometimes we get to include the most amazing sunsets in your portraits!
Newborn Sessions
My first priority in newborn sessions is to ensure your baby's safety and comfort. I have professional training on how to handle your newborn and safely pose them. I've completed the APNPI Newborn Handling Safety Course, as well as countless hours of research into newborn photography and safety. As a general rule and in accordance with peer reviewed published research, I do not offer froggy pose or similar posing. I believe we can achieve just a beautiful results without compromising the safety of your baby.
When your baby comes into my studio they'll be met with a warm, comforting space. I typically suggest you feed baby when you arrive in the studio. After baby is content I use a mixture of swaddles, some white noise, and comforting techniques to lull your baby into a happy sleepy state. After that they'll be photographed in multiple sets, swaddles, and outfits. Family members are welcome to join in. Session price does not change when adding in up to 4 family members.
Newborn sessions can take up to 3 hours. Sessions are typically led by baby. Babies often need breaks throughout the process, for diaper changes and feedings. I follow your baby's physical cues to make sure they are comfortable, content and safe throughout their portraits.
